Juliet
Can I say 'tu escucha mal' while I want to say - you heard wrong? Hola I wonder if escucha mal in spanish means in English, you heard wrong/badly. Does it refer to the past tense (heard) or to the present verb (hear)? Can I say 'tu escucha mal' while I want to say - you heard wrong? Gracias! PS; I know I'm supposed to punctuate tu with a different letter than in English, but I don't have Spanish letters on this keyboard yet.

Hola Juliet. Let me help you again. You heard wrong/badly means in Spanish, tú escuchaste mal. Escuchaste is the past tense (heard). Escuchas is the present tense (hear). Tú escuchas mal means you hear wrong/badly.
