Sentence #1
This is a sentence taken from a Chinese course:
我是计程车司机。 I'm a taxi driver.
I'd like to comment this sentence with you. Before I knew 出租车. So are 出租车 and 计程车 the same? So, does 司机 mean "driver"? Are there also other words that can be used for "driver"?
Thanks for your help.

計程車 is used in Taiwan, whereas 出租車 is used in mainland of China.
You can call a driver 師傅, but a chef, smith, and someone skilled are also called 師傅.
駕駛員 is also a word for driver, but it is too formal. it is only used in formal occasions (such as driver licenses, items of the law...)
