What does "hold out on somebody" mean?
"You didn't tell us that last night."

"You were holding out on us?" Blore persisted.
"In a way, yes." Said Lombard.

It means information was kept from other people. He held back the info
He had his own reason for not sharing. It depends on the story why he did it.
