what the difference among these words? despite, although, though, notwithstanding, in spite of .... well,how to use in sentences? thank you!

Well, here's a start... Despite, in spite of and notwithstanding need to be followed by a noun or gerund. Notwithstanding can actually come afterwards. Although and though need to be followed by a clause (ie. a clear statement).
