Hi, I'm trying to know what's the meaning of "一下儿" in "我介绍一下儿 ------" , I know what it's supposed to mean by its own, but I can't understand how it works in the sentence.

If you say '我介绍‘， its like saying 'Let me introduce myself'
If you say '我介绍一下儿‘， its like saying 'Let me give a bit of an introduction to myself'
Just softens the language a bit, makes one sound a bit more humble.

Here 一下儿 has no meaning really. It is more like a 'softener' , it is a way of being polite.
