Has both of them the same meaning? If not, what the ending ㄴ means? Thanks!

그땐 is the short form of 그때는:
그때 "then" + 는 "at/during" = 그땐 "at that time"
It helps me to think of the topic-marking particle 는 as meaning 'as for,' so this could also be "as for then" or "as for that time."
