Accusative / Genitive. I understand that inanimate masculine nouns will use the same declension in accusative as in nominative. But I have the sentence: Стюардесса желает счастливого полёта. using the genitive declension of полёт which contradicts the rule. Why is this? (Please, answer in English or Spanish). Thanks.

No contradiction as желать requires genitive: Мы желаем вам счастливого Нового года! Пожелай мне удачи на экзамене. Гости желают молодоженам счастья.
