During vs In Hi! Could you please tell me what is the difference between "during" and "in?" Here are some examples: Sasha hasn't even called his mother during/in three weeks. Sasha hasn't called his mother, not even once during/in three weeks. Sasha hasn't called his mother during/in three weeks. Thank you in advance!

If you use "in", it would mean that it has been three weeks "since" he called. If you use "during", it would include the entire time from the start of the three weeks till the end. "in" is more appropriate in these sentences. If you made these affirmative sentences, then "during" would be more appropriate.
