You can use either. The verb "show" allows you to use both constructions.

Both are fine. Both are natural-sounding. Both are straightforward--not colloquial, not too formal.
I'm struggling to think of any slight difference in meaning between the two. I can't think of one.

both forms of question are gramatically correct, but the first question is better, more common

Both. Native speakers of any language generally like the shortest way to say things so I would say the first is slightly better as in common. Both are natural and correct though and I hear both ways regularly.
