(I think both "from" and "of" are possible, but "of" is more likely.) 2)I 'll see____next week. (I have no idea because the verb "see" can't be used without an object.

1). From' is the choice for number 1. 'Hasn't been heard from' means he hasn't kept in contact with someone. 2) I'll see about next week. 'See about' a phrasal verb.
