well, i already learn Hiragana and katakana. i learn it on youtube and buy somebook. i learn it little by lttle. for example. Hiragana, i learn from A until S. because you knwo there is A I U E O Ka ki ku ke ko. until "So". i keep practicing like that until i remember. and if in youtube. they usually teach us slowly. according to how you can understand and comfortable with ^^

I use Human Japanese and have been able to learn one series a day. I took a few weeks off studying after learning all the Hiragana and retained it pretty well.
