Let,s get together and let,s join have the same meaning?. Because the first expresion means join to do something, i think.

"Let's get together" is used for friends who want to meet to do something together. "Let's join" would be used to join a club, an organization, or another group. I doubt that the friends would want to join each other and become Siamese twins!
