When I'm focused on something, I don't see anything else around me.

Your sentence is good. I would omit the 'else', though.

The first part of the sentence is good, but for the second part, I would replace "See anything." With "Acknowledge anything." "When I'm focused on something, I don't acknowledge anything else around me."
