In France, will people dislike if I make errors while speaking French?
I realize it's a stereotype that the French are unkind towards those who speak their language incorrectly- I've met so many kind French people on here- I do not mean to be offensive, but going to France and speaking French is an anxious (albeit exciting) idea.

Feel free to speak French with French people. I think that's the same everywhere : some people are rude, some are very friendly. But as a French native speaker, I would be cheerful if a foreigner would speak with me in french !

French people have a bad standing. I have heard many times that we are well known to be arrogant too. Don't worry, many people here will be happy to speak with you and help you if you need.

I think that it is the same for all foreign countries. Even if you try to speak basic french, they will either be delighted and try to reply you in french in the simplest way possible or reply you in english due to your foreign accent(especially in paris where there are many tourists)
