What does "neither required nor prohibited" mean?
Hi,
I have a quick question.
As I read some code, I'm having hard time understanding this sentence.
"PWHT is neither required nor prohibited"
(FYI, PWHT is some kind of heat treatment for steels)
Does it mean, it doesn't really matter if PWHT is applied or not?
Thanks in advance!

It means you don't have to have the treatment but also it is not forbidden (prohibited). It is allowed but you are not obliged or forced to have it.
