They do share the same sentiments so yes they are the same. However this is the correct way of saying each. 1. The situation or fact in China is totally the opposite to that of UK. or The situation or fact in China is totally the opposite to that in UK 2.The situation is totally the opposite in China. 3.The situation would be the reverse in China or The situation would be in reverse in China.
