Ways of saying months in German
Is it correct to say der Januar as der Erste, der Februar as der Zweite, März as der Dritte...so on and so forth?

No. Sometimes you'll find dates written as "11.7." instead of "11. Juli" for brevity, and that's read as "elfter siebter". But the ordinal is not used when speaking about an entire month.
