What does this sentence mean?"There is enough flak in the air."

Literally it comes from war time, flak is the shots fired into the air to try and bring down enemy planes and make things difficult for them. So if we say there is enough flak in the air it means that lots of things are already being said about a situation and the intimation is that we shouldn't add to it with our comments. Bob
