Please help me sovle this sentence grammar problem
If I would like to change this sentence "Asia is four times as large as Europe." into the following sentence pattern"Asia is three times larger than Europe." or "Asia is four times larger than Europe.", which one sentence of the two sentences in the second sentence pattern is equal to the sentence in the first sentence pattern? In other words, is this sentence "Asia is three times larger than Europe." or this one"Asia is four times larger than Europe." equal to "Asia is four times as large as Europe." ?
Waiting for your answer. Please do me a favor.

Why do you want to change it? I see where you are coming from, but the original version doesn't have the ambiguity you are worried about and is perfectly clear. In any case, I would go for "four times larger". (Now, for bonus credit, what about "four times smaller"?)
