Learning a language is different for everyone! But as a basic approach towards Japanese I can recommend this;
- Start by learning the kana (hiragana + katakana)
- Always try to broaden your vocabulary, start practicing these words in kana as soon as you feel comfortable with it. It will help you recognize words.
- start with the verb 'desu', create basic sentences using this
- gradually start adding more verbs and grammar (sorry, can't really give an order you should do this in)
- Always get back to creating sentences with what you have learnt, get them checked by someone on this website or a teacher! It will help you improve for sure.
These are some of the pointers I can give. ^^
I hope they can help you in some way.
