Could you tell me if there is any cultural meaning behind "a thousand and one" here? eg. We resolve to get up earlier each morning, eat less, find more time to play with the children, do a thousand and one jobs about the house... Why isn't it a thousand but add one? Why isn't it a hundred and one?
