Are 'want to do something' and 'want doing something' both correct please? Susan did not want other people looking at her. Susan did not want other people to look at her. Are these two sentences both correct please? And are there any differences between them please?

They are both correct, and very similar in meaning. The first one emphasises the activity of looking - she can imagine the situation when people are looking at her. The second one emphasises the idea of looking, in a more abstract and hypothetical way, something which could be possible.
