Are these sentences all OK? I just called to check how you are doing. I just wanted to check how you are doing. And can I use these interchangeably? We haven't talked in a while, so I thought I would call and ask how you were doing. We hadn't talked in a while, so I thought I would call and ask how you were doing. We haven't talked in a while, so I just wanted to check and see how you are doing. We hadn't talked in a while, so I just wanted to check and see how you are doing. We haven't seen each other in a while, so I just wanted to check and see how you are doing. We hadn't seen each other in a while, so I just wanted to check and see how you are doing

First two sentences ok. The other sentence pairs are not interchangeable, since haven't is in the present tense and hadn't is the past tense. The first one would be more correct. Both can be used, they just don't mean exactly the same thing.
