When and how should I use ‘动人’?
Can I use to describe a landscape, or a piece of art, or someone's personality? When would a native speaker use ‘动人'? :)
Thank you,
Jake
动人means something is beautiful and it touches your heart. But mostly we use it on describing an image or a scene.
For example: 有对恋人在夕阳下接吻,这个场景真是动人。( There is a couple kissing under the sunset, and that is really 动人)

动 is move。if have something give you good or bad feel. if have "move"(hard or hand or anything) you can say 动人 or 真(very)动人。

you can use this word to describe a landscape or a piece of art..the meaning of “动人”is close to moving or touching..using this word to describe person is a little weird..but you can use "美丽动人” to describe a person, means you are beautiful enough to touch my heart
