尊敬用于比你辈份或者地位高的人，可以是老师，可以是长者；
尊重可以在阶级上用于和你平级的人或者比你低的人，或者尊重别人的想法。

尊重 + somebody or somebody's behaviour, lifestyle or religion etc. 尊敬+ somebody.

尊重 means respect. We should respect everyone no matter who he/she is. 尊敬 means admire or look up to. We respect everyone, but not necessary admire or look up to him/her. Usually, we admire or look up to people who have high social position, or talent, or high moral standards, or the like.
