A cartoon: 动画片?
How do you call a children cartoon in Chinese? Is it 动画片 ?
If I want to ask my daughter "Do you want to watch the cartoon about little panda?", is it ok if I say "你要不要看小熊猫的动画片？"

As far as i am concerned, the children cartoon in Chinese is 动画片， that's correct. the sentence you have written is also correct. But pay a little attention to the difference of 动画片 and 动漫， in Chinese, we use 动漫 for animation. 动漫 is not only for children, but also suitable for teenages and adults.

Or you can use the loanword, 卡通 (cartoon)
