What is the difference What is the difference between arouse and rouse ?Can we say "rouse one's curiosity" Thank you :)

The both mean more or less the same thing but are often used in different situations. You arouse in a figurative sense while you usually rouse in a physical manner. ex. My interest in learning English has been aroused. I need to rouse my brother out of bed before we're late.
