Didn't you ask about cases a couple of days ago? English only distinguishes between subject and object case for some pronouns (I/me, he/him, she/her, we/us, they/them), in German the system is a bit more complex and has different forms for direct and indirect objects.
– Direct object: You see me. I see you. → Du siehst mich. Ich sehe dich. (accusative pronoun)
– Indirect object: I give you the money./I give the money to you. You give me the apple./You give the apple to me. → Ich gebe dir das Geld. Du gibst mir den Apfel. (dative pronoun)
