What does 'there was no snap in his turtle' mean? The text is an excerpt of Friends, an American sitcom. What does 'I take credit for Paul. Before me, there was no snap in his turtle for two years' mean?

It is not a common expression- obviously a joke meaning'he had no energy' - there was no life in him . I haven't seen the episode or heard it before , it's probably a suggestive sexual joke a bit like ' there was no lead in his pencil! (work it out) It is a pun because there is a snapping turtle.
