Jérôme
Bonjour quelqu'un peut me traduire ça en Français SVP :) In my opinion, I think that Theodore, the narrator, was lucid dreaming all along and he subconsciously gathered enough real information from the chateau to create the events that seemed unreal . In the beginning of the story, the narrator and his friends, Arrigo Cohic and Pedrino Borgnioli, traveled to Normandy in harsh stormy weather and they were all very tired. The narrator seemed very exhausted from the trip and so he went to his room. The chateau and his room made an impression on his mind because he was amazed by how strange the rooms were decorated. The room had a lot of paintings and they were ancestors from the host.

I don't know, I think the English version sounds fine except for the last sentence which is not grammatically correct. "Lucid dreaming" is a type of dream where you are aware that you are dreaming while you are asleep. If practiced correctly, you can actually control the events happening in a lucid dream. I've only managed it a few times, but it's quite a wild ride when it happens! Google "lucid dreaming" to get all the info. As for translating this into French, google translate will give you a better result than I can :)

C'est un Anglais native qui m'a écrit ça ! Je pense qu'il a utilisé un traducteur :| Merci tous le monde

"ancestors of the host" is what he meant. I agree that it was not written by a native speaker but it's probably good enough to be translated. With your level, Jerome, you should be capable of doing this translation quite well. English speakers of French can then check your work. I'll have a go.

It's odd English, are you sure it wasn't translated from another language already? 'lucid dreaming' and 'they were ancestors from the host' are not things native speakers would write.
