연주 = playing instruments
공연 = Includes 연주. 공연은 연극, 뮤지컬, 연주,발레, 오페라등을 포함하는 포괄적 의미.

So "그녀의 피아노 연주는 정말 아름답습니다" means "her piano performance was really wonderful?"
And does "셀린 디온 이 멋진 무대에서 공연하였습니다" mean "Celine Dion performed on this cool stage?"

연주하다 to play (musical instruments)
공연하다 to perform (any kinds of performances we can see at a stage , a music hall, even in streets..)
