Petals or leaves? - for native English speakers.
In Danish a “petal” is called a “crown leaf” or “flower leaf”, so when it’s clear from the context that I’m talking of the petals of a flower I just call them “leaves”. What about English? Do native speakers always call petals petals or do you sometimes call them leaves?
Thanks for your help!

Yes. Leaves and petals are distinct things in the mind of a native English speaker. Flowers have petals.
