What is the meaning of "close to tears" and "forget your lines" ?
We were all close to tears when the song ended.
I was so nervous I nearly forgot my lines.

Close to tears means very emotional and about ready to cry. Example: The movie was really sad. I was close to tears throughout the movie."
"Forgot my lines" refers to an actor forgetting the words that he or she is supposed to say during a movie or a play.
