대양 & 해양
What is the difference between 해양 & 대양? They obviously have different hanja (대양 -> 클 대, 해양-> 바다 해). Is one of them used in a different situation than the other? Thank you:

speaking simply, '대양' is specially big one of the '해양's.

해양 means everything about the sea/ocean (literally "sea+ocean"):
해양생물 = marine organism
해양박물관 = maritime museum
해양학자 = oceanographer
대양 specifically refers to the five oceans
(남/북)태평양 = Pacific Ocean (north/south)
(남/북)대서양 = Atlantic Ocean (north/south)
인도양 = Indian Ocean
5대양6대주 = five oceans and six continents = the whole world (geographical)
