2- Yes, blue is through, means the colour is not on-trend any more. 3- Puce isn't used terribly often. However, if you work a lot with colours you may use it as you need to describe very specific colours. Puce is a very rich, saturated shade of purple. Quite like a plum. I hear the word puce mostly if one is describing someone's face. For example, if someone goes really red due to being embarrassed- 'they turned puce!' 5- Yes, rust is a deep shade of orange. If you want to know exactly what it looks like you can Google 'core ten steel'. 6- A bust can either he a head (like a sculpture of a head that you have for decoration) or breasts. In this case I think it means that it is fashionable to have smaller breasts and 'the look' (the clothes) are designed for people without big breasts. 9- I have never heard this expression. To be honest, I would not use it, just to be 'politically correct'.

wow really interesting lyrics :) because im not a native english speaker i can only explain some of the sentences above 1. quelque chose means something in french(quelque=some, chose=thing) 4. Chartreuse is a French liqueur or a color between yellow and green that was named because of its resemblance to the green color of the French liqueur 7. razzle dazzle (confusion caused by) noisy and noticeable activity or very colorful appearance, intended to attract attention(according to cambridge dictionary) 8. joie de vivre means the joy of living in french so i think the woman with joie de vivre is a woman who finds joy in everything in life, who lives life to the fullest

Adding a few comments: Remember, this song is sung by a woman who is running a fashion magazine. She's talking about the new slogan for the upcoming issue. She's trying to get both her writers to write about pink and trying to come up with ways to try to convince women that pink is fashionable and everything else is outdated. 1 - Americans (especially at the time of this movie) think that French things are fashionable. "quel que chose" is saying that you'll be fashionable, like French people. 5 - Dior is a famous fashion brand. She's trying to say "don't pay attention to what Dior says about fashion. They're out of date. Go with pink." And yes, "rust" is a color - the color of, well, rust. (orangey brown) 6 - At the time of this movie, in the US fashions were changing. That was one of the remarks about the new fashionable clothing. It tended to be less tailored and fitted and more straight lines. 9 - Nope, it sounds dated.
