Usage of some What is the difference between these two sentences, please?. There are apples on the table. There are some apples on the table.

The first means that there are at least 2 apples but we do not know if there are a lot or only a few. The second means that there are a few apples, at least 3.

I would say they are exactly the same. The use of apples, plural, tells us that there is more than one Apple on the table. The use of some apples maybe just gives even more clarity that there are several apples on the table. In my opinion you could say either, they are both correct and natural.
