Where is the nearest chemist's? (" 's " means the shop)

Answer

Adding -'s is OK in most of the phrases, but not the one about the journey. It needs to be:

"It’s a 700-kilometer journey."

We can use  "number + singular noun" with a hyphen, and that works as an adjective.
