Do you use the question word order after 'no matter'? this is an email I got from the Couchsurfing dudes, "Hello everyone! This is weekly cs meeting! Locals and foreigners are welcome to come and meet each other! We all love to travel, meet new people and share our experiences. No matter where *are you from*, what *is your* language - we will be happy, if you join us! " I'm wondering if the word order in the asterisks is correct?

No matter where *YOU are from*, what *your* language IS - we will be happy (delete comma) if you join us! " Hi Snarl, That's how I would say it.

I've heard this error a lot with non-native English speakers. However, there are quite a few natives with poor English skills. Good eye, snarling_wolfy. You're smarter than the average bear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pqyax6gwzQ

I guess you think it's wrong, right? And you are right, it's not correct as they have written it. They're not questions so you don't invert, they should have used the normal word order i.e: No matter where you are from, what your language is...
