is there any chinese idiom that best describe this?
is there any chinese idiom that best describe the following statement?
"He who creates peace in his celestial heights ,may He in his mercy create peace for the people on earth"
Alternatively, can you suggest a literacy translation to this phrase?
what do you think of my trying:
"让老天在人间如天道都相安无事“
thanks a lot.

2,"在天上"in sky / in heaven 的意思不同於"天道/天"nature law,
你若翻譯出"在地上如在天上/在人間如在天上"都是在chinese idiom中能見到的,但是看來不符合你想表達的事

The great poet Li Bai also wrote two poems about the waterfall on Lu mountain. The less famous of the two poems contains the line 壮哉造化功, which in context roughly translates as "so great is the power of the deity/ies to do good". However, although Arthur Cooper's translation made this poem famous in the West, in China most people memorize Li Bai's other poem about the waterfall instead, so most wouldn't catch the allusion. Still, it might be useful.

Many Chinese speakers interested in Abrahamic thought would know the standard translation of the lord's prayer. That prayer contains the section "on earth as it is in heaven", which is rendered as 在地上,如同行在天上; they would also know the classical Chinese concept of "the mandate of heaven" 天命, which is usually thought of as the justification for dynastic succession but which includes the concept that a just and well-ordered heaven can give or withdraw approval from earthly powers on the basis of whether or not they are just, harmonious, and well-ordered. You might be able to build a translation which draws on these two passages--just a thought. Good luck!
