What does scalping mean here?
To illustrate this concept of self-acceptance, I will relate to you an example of a floor trader who came to me for assistance because he wanted to change his trading style. When he first went down to the floor he got caught up in scalping because it seemed like the easiest way to make money.

Hmm I'll give another example.
There's this really cool concert in town, and the tickets are cheap! It's one dollar per ticket and there are 500 tickets being sold.
However, Mr. Scalper knows that this show is gonna be really popular in town, so he buys all the tickets for 500$.
Now no one can watch the show, unless they pay Mr. Scalper. Because Mr. Scalper has all the tickets, he can make the people pay any price he wants. So he charges 100$ per ticket. In the end everyone hates him, but he ends up a rich man. He scalped those tickets
Scalping is basically buying the entire quantity of something so that you can charge whatever price you want.

It means making lots of small quick trades, trying to profit from small minute-to-minute changes in the price of a given stock. Many computers use this strategy.
