Play in the sandbox? This seems to be funny to be said, what's the meaning? "I don't play in your sandbox" "Play in your own sandbox."

Sandbox is a contained play area full of sand. Children play in it. this expression (though I don't really hear it often) I think means, stay in your own area. I don't go into your area, so please stay in yours.
