In the dialect where I live we say: لقد كلَّفني دم أسناني (it has cost me the blood of my teeth!). in MSA it's: هذا باهض الثمن / عالي الكلفة

In our dialect we would say "هاذ الشيء كلفني اللي فوقي واللي تحتي", and in standard maybe we would say "هذا الشيء باهظ الثمن، لقد اشتريته بكل ما أملك"ا
