How do we refer to instruments when the context is not very specific, like they play violin regularly but not in this moment.

I'm not entirely sure how to explain the grammar of it, but we say it exactly as in English i.e. 'Jag/Du/Vi/De spelar fiol/piano/gitarr/...' = 'I/You/We/They play violin/piano/guitar/...'. The singular form of the noun is used as can be seen. We don't use the -en, -et or other endings however.
