By listening and speaking practices in the first place.

I started with the book+CD 'Teach Yourself Turkish', or it might be called Teach Yourself: 'Complete Turkish' now.
It's really good. :)

My suggestion... instead than trying to "learn" a language, start to "communicate" with it.
