Can someone give some information of how/when to use ان

Dear friend, 
In arabic there إن pronounced "Einna" is used at the beginning of "الجملة الإسمية" and "الجملة الفعلية" , 
"الجملة الاسمية" is used to emphasis the meaning of the sentence ,at this situation 
تنصب المبتداء و ترفع الخبر 
مثال : 
إن الجوَ باردُ 
الجو و هو مبتداء مرفوع يتحول إلى إسم إن منصوب بالفتحة 
بارد و هو خبر مرفوع يصبح خبر إن منصوب 

فى الجملة الفعلية إن تجزم الفعل عندما تكون شرطية 
إن تذاكر تنجح في  الإختبار 
which means if you study ,you will pass the exam 
so إن تكون أداة شرط 
تذاكر فعل مضارع مجزوم

There is "إنْ" which is used with conditional sentences and "إنّ" which is emphatic, so which did you mean?

i just wanted to add somethings the answer above ,if u mean an(ان
u can use to transform the infinative to a verb form its lke transforming i want eating to i want to eat
so to in the previous sentence means ان
