Consist in/of Hi, there Should I say consist in or consist of in these sentences? "A polite attitude consists precisely of/in a kind of deliberate mimicry of manifestations spontaneous in the cordial man" "Dignity does not consist in/of possessing honors, but in/of deserving them" Thank you very much

I would say always "consist of" in any situation. It is one of those verb/ preposition combinations that is always used, kind of like "believe in" or "according to".
