meaning of "hook a fishhook" What does " blow a fish hook " mean? Artsy. And I play the most unpopular instrument there is: the jazz clarinet. Hmm! [PLAYING LIVELY JAZZ] A:You know your way around a licorice stick, kid. B:You blow a mean fish hook yourself, sister! - Let's talk normal now. - Thank you.

I'm guessing as I don't know jazz or the clarinet but... I think 'liquorice stick' is slang for the clarinet, and 'fish hook' possibly for a saxaphone? I'm thinking these relate to the shapes of the instruments. A clarinet is straight and dark (if you ignore the metal), and the saxaphone has a hook shape. Hopefully you'll get an answer from someone in the know.
