My generation is called "昭和世代", because most older people were born in Showa era(1926 to 1989).
I think there are some generation gaps in Japan, but it depends on each person.
Some older people often say things when they were young and don't check new things, but I usually don't say things when I was young, I like to check new things, mostly animation, movies, dramas, music, and etc.
Japanese life-span is expanding.
At least, my Japanese friends look younger than our actual age.
And, I have younger Japanese Karaoke friends.
Some people say that relationships between younger people and older people is difficult, but I want to be a younger people's friend.
