That time is correct, Bill.
Eastern Time Zone is UTC minus 5 hours. Eastern Time Zone is five hours behind UTC (co-ordinated universal time) .
Here in Britain, we are on UTC - so when it is midday here, it is 7 am where you are.

There's a setting in your account settings (under 'General') where time zone can be set.
