Joey: Yeah, right!.......Y'serious? Phoebe: Oh, yeah! Rachel: Everything you need to know is in that first kiss. Monica: Absolutely. Chandler: Yeah, I think for us, kissing is pretty much like an opening act, y'know? I mean it's like the stand-up comedianyou have to sit through before Pink Floyd comes out. Ross: Yeah, and-and it's not that we don't like the comedian, it's that-that... that's not why we bought the ticket. Chandler: The problem is, though, after the concert's over, no matter how great the show was, you girls are always looking for the comedian again, y'know? I mean, we're in the car, we're fighting traffic... basically just trying to stay awake. "we're in the car, we're fighting traffic" what does that mean?? 2 Joey: Alright, when did u have it on last? Laurence answered the first two questions correctly. Doy is another form of Doh! or Duh! meaning "That's obvious" "Dinah" is from an American folk song "I've Been Working on the Railroad" Here is part of the song that refers to Dinah. Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah Someone's in the kitchen I know Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah Strummin' on the old banjo! The whole song and a detailed explanation of its history here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I've_Been_Working_on_the_Railroad

This is an old thread, but I wanted to let you know that there's an article about "You don't get a lot of doy these days". It's here: https://www.tv-esl.com/you-dont-get-a-lot-of-doy-these-days-meaning/

Hi, 'Battling with traffic' means trying to drive on busy roads with lots of traffic. I'm not sure about the second question - is Dinah somebody's name? And is 'doy' like 'duh' meaning 'it's obvious'?
